Surprise Valley Guest Ranch is located...
- a little less than two hours east of Santa Fe
- about two hours south of Taos
- about three hours north of the Albuquerque International Airport
- 45 minutes north of Las Vegas, New Mexico, which is on Interstate 25 and has both an airport and Amtrak
Driving Directions from Las Vegas, NM
- Go NORTH on 7th Street/Route 518
- Stay on 518 for 12 miles, out of Las Vegas to Sapello
- At mile marker #12 there is a Chevron Station. Turn LEFT immediately after the station onto Route 94 West
- Stay on Route 94 West for 6/10 mile
- Turn LEFT onto Route 266
- Stay on 266 for 13 miles, to the very end of the road. It will go from paved to unpaved, two-lane to narrow single-lane, and you will meander by many other ranches and underneath a sign for Thunder Ranch sign. Just stay on the road; it dead-ends at the Surprise Valley Ranch gate.
- Please close the main gate to Surprise Valley Ranch after you have driven through it.
