Surprise Valley Ranch offers a comfortable blend of rustic Old West charm and
modern amenities. Horse pastures, corrals and training pens dot the landscape. Cattle
graze on the mesa. Over 600 acres of base camp is enhanced by an additional
6500 acres of grazing land, giving guests access to over 7,000 acres of canyon
and mountain terrain surrounded by over two million acres of protected wilderness.
Overlooking more than a dozen ponds connected by the meandering headwaters of the Sapello River sits a private saloon where guests gather to discuss their adventures, play a game of cards, enjoy a little music or log in for WiFi access.
In addition to a separate guest laundry and bathhouse, each of the four guest cabins offers sleeping accommodations for four to six people plus:
- Fully equipped modern kitchen
- Private bath
- Fireplace or open hearth woodstove
- Covered porch
- Private horse corral
- Dog friendly environment
